Weddings in Exmouth

It’s great to see so many beautiful weddings occurring in this town of ours.  Great venues like the Novotel Ningaloo Resort now provide quality receptions with stunning food. Or for a more casual approach, there are always beach weddings at Turquoise Bay or any of our wonderful World Heritage beaches.

We now even have our own resident Marriage Celebrant living in town. Hilary Van Eldik has preformed numerous weddings, naming and vow renewal ceremonies in Exmouth. She is just gorgeous, and a lovely calming influence on what can be a very stressful day.

Book your accommodation early, guests need to know that the sooner they book the less chance they have of missing out. Exmouth is a small town, with limited accommodation.

Holiday Homes from Ningaloo Reef Holidays are still the most economical accommodation in town.

Slim Jim and the Phats Band

Little known fact that I booked Jamie Mercanti and his band Slim Jim and the Phats Band over 20 plus years ago now for one of their very first gigs at the Iona Presentation College year 10 dance. That was an awesome night back in 1983!!

Now the band is back to play tomorrow night march 9th 2012 with their second last gig ever at the opening night of GAMEX Fishing Competition in Exmouth. Tickets can still be purchased from Bluewater Tackle in Exmouth or from the Exmouth Game Fishing Club. I believe it is nearly sold out.

With tomorrow being a steamy 38deg and humid, it will surely be a night to remember. I am personally looking forward to catching up with my old friend Jamie.

Happy Holiday Whalers

Just want to wish Liz and Paul (the owners of Whalers) a wonderful holiday in Japan this February.

Whalers Restaurant is our favourite Exmouth eatery at Ningaloo Reef  Holidays. We recommend it to all our guests to have at least one meal there whilst they are holidaying in town.

We thought it important to let you know that Whalers will be closed for the month of February whilst all the staff have a well earned break.

Happy Holiday guys and thanks for a great year or wonderful food and great service!

Dreaming of Mango Season

The best thing about Christmas in Exmouth is the abundance of juicy ripe mangos. Most of them are local, some from Onslow or Broom.

But who can resist a cold, sweet fragrant mango on a hot day? Slice down the cheeks of the mango and remove. Cut onto the skin in a criss-cross pattern and flip inside out. Hold up to your face and eat in bliss. Don’t forget to gnaw away on all the flesh still on the pip!

Your face will be covered in sweet juice so go for a big kiss off the hubby or wash it all down with some cold bubbles… Dreaming of Christmas in Exmouth.
