Christmas in Exmouth and mangos!

Well here we are again, faced with the New Year and another 12 months of joy ahead of us.  It has been a perfect Christmas this year in Exmouth, not too hot and just enough people in town for it to be interesting but not crowded.

Accommodation has been at a premium with all our homes fully booked this year for the Christmas and January break. Thankyou to our guests for joining us up in the glorious north west.

The cyclone looked threatening but barely blew a puff our way. The flies were a little more than in previous years but compared to our friends in the south west, we have nothing to complain about.

I have managed to get to the beach as often as I can, the tan is looking good, but the waistline is expanding! If I see one more ripe juicy mango I will scream!! What! You haven ‘t been gorging on mangoes this summer? Shame…come to Exmouth next year for Christmas and you will be.

Big tip! Sea Breeze, one of our houses at ( 3 Tautog St) has a huge mango tree in the back yard. Ssshh…dont tell anyone.

Dreaming of Mango Season

The best thing about Christmas in Exmouth is the abundance of juicy ripe mangos. Most of them are local, some from Onslow or Broom.

But who can resist a cold, sweet fragrant mango on a hot day? Slice down the cheeks of the mango and remove. Cut onto the skin in a criss-cross pattern and flip inside out. Hold up to your face and eat in bliss. Don’t forget to gnaw away on all the flesh still on the pip!

Your face will be covered in sweet juice so go for a big kiss off the hubby or wash it all down with some cold bubbles… Dreaming of Christmas in Exmouth.
